Olympus Tough Camera Software For A Mac Os Sierra

Bin directory for java_home is not set mac. Olympus A-GPS Utility Software (Windows/MAC) OLYMPUS A-GPS Utility is a software application that can be used to download the latest Assisted GPS data for faster positioning and write it to OLYMPUS Digital Cameras that support Assisted GPS.

I have iMac with OS 10.13.3. Trying to update my Old E-M5ii to firmware 4.0 (from 2.1) With Olympus Digital Camera Updater enabled, I get the following dialog screen after connecting camera to computer and selecting 'storage' in menu: I don't know the computer Preference Settings all that well, so when go to my Security & Privacy preference, I do not see how to unblock Olympus Corporation (I don't see that it is blocked to begin with). I don't know where els to look.

How do I allow loading from the Olympus site? Also, added info. When I close above window and select 'Update Firmware,' I get the following message: Assistance appreciated. JPAlbert wrote: OP: You can _try_ this. It works in Low Sierra. Not sure if it works in High Sierra.

Open terminal 2. Copy this and paste it into terminal: 'sudo spctl --master-disable' (do not include quotation marks) 3.

Enter password and press return 4. Quit terminal and open the 'Security & Privacy' preference pane 5. You should now have 'a third choice' there: 'Anywhere'. Choose that and close System Preferences. Try the Olympus software now. I'm sorry, but what do you mean by open terminal?

Copy this and paste it into terminal: 'sudo spctl --master-disable' (do not include quotation marks) sudo executes the following command with elevated privilege level ('superuser do'). Spctl 'manages the security assessment policy subsystem'. From 'man spctl': This subsystem maintains and evaluates rules that determine whether the system allows the installation, execution, and other operations on files on the system. Spctl requires one command option that determines its principal operation. Redsox wrote: I have iMac with OS 10.13.3.

Kevin This is a new security feature in High Sierra which blocks third party kernel extensions from being installed. The option to allow the Olympus Firmware updater would have appeared in the General Tab of Security & Privacy if you had gone there straightaway, but I dont think it stays there indefinitely. At one time 30 mins was the time. It is quite separate from the long standing setting about installing software from App Store/Anywhere etc. The suggestions you have received above may get round this but what I would do is simply run the Olympus Firmware Updater again, and go straight to the Security & Privacy > General tab, where you should see the option to 'allow' near the bottom of the window. (about Lacie driver) has some screenshots which show what the message looks like.
