Samsung Smartwatch For Mac
The smartwatch niche is a relatively quiet one. Format hard drive for mac and pc. There are no big battles, no products trying to cannibalize each other. There are the, Samsung's Gear S watches, and then there are the Android Wear models that just can't get much publicity. So yeah, it's pretty much an “Apple vs Samsung” field. On the Apple side, we've got the square-shaped Watch, which looks the same no matter which generation you pick. Aside from different materials used for the different price tiers, the design of a first-gen Watch is the same as the one on a Series 3.
And, of course, Apple's wearable only syncs to Apple's ecosystem — you can't use it lets you have an iPhone. Samsung went the opposite way — circular watches, which get different looks with every new iteration. Sammy also won the battery life battle long ago — the was capable of enduring 3 days on a single charge, and so is the. To top it off, you can pair a Gear smartwatch to an iOS device, meaning that even if you are an avid iPhone user, you can choose to go for a circular smartwatch, instead of sticking to the Apple Watch. All that said — which camp are you in? (Posts: 1559; Member since: 27 Dec 2016) Like the saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Consumers have spoken and clearly the Apple Watch is what the majority of smart watch buyers like.
Consider how many Samsung phones the Gear S3 models are compatible with, then add in all the other android devices the Gear S3’s are compatible with, and STILL the Gear S3 line is nowhere near as ubiquitous as the Apple Watch. It’s painfully obvious that outside of a handful of rabid fans, the Gear S3 line simply isn’t compelling enough to the average Samsung or android phone user. (Posts: 29813; Member since: 05 Feb 2011) I’ve owned the gear s gear s2, gear fit 2, Apple Watch (series 1 2 and 3), and the Gear S3 Frontier and my current classic. The gear s3 is by far the best smart watch I’ve used.

Having said that, it and the series 3 Apple Watch are also the most buggy, and overall problematic watches I’ve used. My Apple Watch series 3, and the 2 exchange units all had a wrist detection issue, that stopped auto heart rate monitoring, and stand reminders with wrist detection off, while giving me my notifications, calls and texts. With it on, I got auto heart rate monitoring and stand reminders and fitness goals badges, but no notifications, calls or texts. It also paused workouts for no reason, and got laggy at times.
My gear s3 stops workouts for no reason, and gets laggy at times. Both get their respective rotating mechanisms slowdowns as well. With more tech, comes more issues. The gear s3, and series 3 Apple Watch are the two best watches for me.I always expect issues with my tech, and will continue to be brutally open and honest about those issues.

I was surprised to see that the Apple watch doesn't display WhatsApp and Messenger pic attachments like Wear OS does. It also doesn't come with a keyboard for answers and Siri is even dodgier than Google Assistant in understanding responses. Considering that notifications is the most important function of a smartwatch, Wear OS is miles ahead Apple's Watch OS. Pretty shocking actually how badly Apple Watch works considering that they had to make it work just in conjunction with iOS devices. On top of it, Wear OS watches are mostly elegantly round, have always in displays like proper watches and so on. And let's not forget the embarrassing first generation of Apple Watch with its massive lag and the first LTE edition with its dropping WiFi connection.
