I work in a computer lab, my main work area is separate from the racks where the servers sit. I often need to perform console tasks which cannot be performed remotely, and OneNote is a great way to document my steps, scripts, or other helpful hints. And the instant sync to all devices makes it quite useful. Apple Notes is similarly useful for the same reasons but I started using OneNote before Apple updated Notes. OneNote is one of the best packages for keeping track of notes in an organized way. I use it both professionally and personally. Surprised you didn't use it for school as it's perfect for keeping class notes organized.
