Xbox Controller For Pc On Mac
I was recently playing Bioshock on the MBP and felt a little uncomfortable with the keyboard scheme, so I tried the XBOX 360 wireless controller. It felt much better in terms of the control and movement, and even added vibration which helped set the overall feel. Can anyone tell me if there will be other games that integrate the 360 controller as well as Bioshock does? Also, do older games work well with controller on the MBP? Has anyone been able to get the controller to work on the OSX side versus windows? Sorry for asking so many questions, but i could not find any answers through google or any forums.

Either buy a “Microsoft XBox 360 wireless controller for Windows” bundle (app. $40) or, in case you have XBox 360 controllers laying around, just get the “Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows” (app. In this article I intend to play games under Steam on a Mac, on MacOS X Yosemite (), by using this controller.
Madcatz for $24.99 I just picked up the white Madcatz 'GameStop' Xbox 360 wired controller. So far it works flawlessly with the tattiebogle driver. I'm using it for Mame OS X (from Asteroids, to Dig Dug, to Street Fighter Alpha 3), Nestopia, Snes9X, etc. The analog control sticks work really well for all the old arcade games.
I highly recommend it. I've heard the wireless dongle has a lot of issues right now, including disconnecting bluetooth connections, and killing other usb devices especially those from Logitech.
So I'm sticking with wired for now. Click to expand.I don't understand it either, unless you were using the trackpad for aiming I don't see how anyone could prefer a gamepad to a mouse + keyboard. Damn, Microsoft screwed us PC gamers with the Xbox-I-Want-To-Be-A-Gaming-PC-But-I-Can't-360. At least we get amazing controller support for games like Devil May Cry 4 and GRID so it's not all bad but it's spreading to RTS (how the **** can you expect to play an RTS properly and without a million aids with a gamepad) so now it's dumbing down every genre out there.
But yes, 360 Controller support is required for every game to have the Games For Windows brand, aside from that, every game still works with the generic driver, some require some tweaking (DMC3) but if you use Pinnacle Profiler (amazing app) and maybe opt to download the XBCD drivers then there won't be a game you won't be able to configure the controller properly for. I want to know too if it will work with COD4 on a Mac with xbox 360 controller (wired). I don't care much about being wireless, but I absolutely refuse to play Call Of Duty without the 360 controller. Unlike most of you, I didn't grow up with diablo and unreal tournament so I could care less if the keyboard and mouse are 'better.' I just want to replicate the 360 experience on my mac since I don't have an xbox 360. At any rate, the game is still new for the mac so I would think 360 controller support will come officially sooner than later.
Hi all, I have and issue with my XBOX360 WIRED controller for Pc. From time to time 4 lights of the central button start blinking.
There is no reason for them to do that and I am concerned about the cause. They keep on flashing till you unplug the USB. Plugging again solves the question. Usb keyboard and mouse work great.
My SO si Win7 64bit. The pad is ok because I have tried another wired one with the same result. The issue happens once every 2 days more or less. What is the reason of this? Do I have my MOBO damaged?
Thanks for your help ------------------------------ MOBO: Asus P5Q SE CPU: Intel Q9505 (2,83 Ghz) VIDEO: Asus ENGTS 250 1Gb DDR3 RAM: 4Gb DDR2 800Mhz. I have the same issue recently, nothing had changed, nothing was moved, no new installs on my part thought I do recall an windows update in there. It hasnt happened for quite awhile now.

As a matter of fact, I dont think its happened since the last windows update. My controlled would just blink as if not connected. Mind you, I have the reciever on the shelf under my desk so I never though to check it, but when I did I realized that it wasnt 'on', it was plugged in, but there was no light, Once I unplugged it and plugged it back in, it worked perfectly again. I wish I could tell you how to fix this, mine seems to of fixed itself, check for windows updates, maybe you missed the most recent one? I just wanted to share my situation with you as it was the same one, not much insight in there, but maybe check for windows updates? Maybe you missed one?
